long overdue

I am aware that I haven't updated in several weeks, and there is no need to hassle me anymore, because I am baaaaack. In the past weeks, I have had some life-altering reality checks and have grown a lot as a person. It's been quite a roller coaster ride. But! Now life is good. No, it's great. I am happier than I have been in a long time and I have one person to thank for that: Kyle Guppy, without whom I would be nothing.

So without further ado, I would like to share some of the things I have been up to.. (Mostly in picture-form, because I do not have the time or patience to re-cap the past 3 months in one post.)

Knit-wise..

Am I obsessed with this pattern? Three in a row means yes!

Pattern: Button-Tab Hat
Needles: Size 7 circ
Yarn: Knit Picks Wool of the Andes, in Fairy Tale, Tidepool Heather, and White

One Diagonal Owl Dishcloth. Not eight. Procrastination, you know.

Love it! I need some Larri wisdom to complete it :)

Pattern: Bamboo Bag
Needles: Size 9
Yarn: Knit Picks Wool of the Andes, in Williamsburg and Onyx Heather

Cake-wise..

My first fondant cake!

Decadent dark chocolate cake with raspberry filling and chocolate ganache. Yum!

Happy 4th! Another fondant cake.

Mark Hoppus's Fender on my cake. Oh yeah.

Blueberry Buckle. Another yum!

Camp-wise..

He loves me ^this^ much.

Sunset in Northern Michigan. Nothing better.

Kyle and I hiking on the ridge to the Big Sable Lighthouse.

I am standing in front of the lighthouse. Can you see me?

View from the top of the lighthouse.
As beautiful as it was, I don't think I will be hanging out on top of lighthouses for a while.

All right. Well that's that. Wait! Not quite. I can start moving into my apartment at State this Saturday, and I get to paint and decorate :) It will be cute! I will take some photos and post them, fo sho.

Peace!

P.S. This was written last week, but I have some more FO's to share, so you will hear from me soon ;) No more months of silence. Promise.

  1. Hey Nice post. I like the fender. hehe.. Mark Hoppus is a great person. I met him and he was so cool. Very funny, great musician, a friend and a great father. Nothing more you can ask. May God continue blessing him, his family and his band.

  2. There is so much that is cool in this post that I don't know where to begin. Perhaps we'll just talk about it on one of our many upcoming walks on the beach and through the woods.
